DHL currently has an immediate opening for a Systems Support Engineer based in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for supporting the applications, systems, and users related to DHL’s Automated Sort Facilities.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise on advanced IT autosort technologies and manage problem resolution in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
The role also includes supporting desktops, printers, telephones, network hardware, and scales within a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide application support for DHL’s global autosort systems, including SATS, Tier2, SCADA.
- Manage escalations and problem resolution with application vendors, ITS, and RACC support teams.
- Assist with monthly security patches and software updates.
- Collaborate with vendors and ITS to resolve ongoing technical issues.
- Ensure quality assurance and technical testing within the domain’s scope.
- Develop documentation and operational procedures for applications.
- Participate in site deployment activities when required.
- Conduct application testing and certification for changes affecting the autosort system.
- Offer IT system deployment support as needed.
- Deliver desktop support for equipment and users in the hub, gateway, and aviation operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of IT-related work experience.
- Experience with desktop support.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the required technologies.
- Passion for technology, effective communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or IT-related field.
- Fluent in English.
